Director, RN Acute Care/Surgical

The Director of Acute Care has responsibility and accountability for the directing and coordination of patient care in the Medical/Surgical and CSU (Close Supervision Unit). This direction shall be in a manner reflective of the hospital's philosophy, strategic plan, mission and vision and the medical plan of treatment and care. This includes management of personnel, equipment and supplies; planning, implementing directing and supervision the technical and clerical activities of the department as well as maintaining quality and regulatory standards.
Must possess a current Illinois license as a Registered Nurse. A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred. Two (2) years of clinical nursing in a acute care area and a minimum of (2) years supervisory/management experience is preferred Must be able to follow directions and perform work according to department standards, when no directions are given. Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress Current Illinois RN licensure; must maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Must complete required departmental competencies to validate competency and maintain competencies -initial competency validation completion within (90) days of start date and then on an annual basis. Salary - $79,000- $100,000 annually Refer someone and they are hired - $500
